MUMBAI: With around 19,754 students confirming their admissions in the second round of online junior college admissions, there are still more than a lakh seats up for grabs in the third online list, which will be released on Friday at 6pm.
But some of the top colleges have very few seats left.
"The numbers always shrink by the third list.
We filled up almost all seats for the FYJC batch.
We have 15-18 seats left for the third list," said N M College principal Sunil Mantri.

principal Vijay Joshi said, also has very few seats leftfor the third round
"The second list only 27 commerce seats; so, the seats available now will definitely decreaseThe second list only had space for 27 commerce students, so the seats available would have definitely decreased. There are very few science seats, too."
Colleges expect some withdrawals of admissions as the third list will also offer betterment option. "Many students pull out their admissions after they find a seat in another college, which was higher in their priorityMost colleges end up pushing the admissions process offline because seats are left vacant even after the last round of online admissions," said the principal of a Thane college.
The third online merit list will be announced on Friday, at 6 pm.
Students can confirm their admissions according to the second list on July 6 and 8 at their respective colleges.
